PETER BROWN, a professional engineer from Wollongong will, show and talk about the video recording he has produced on the loss of the SS BOMBO which occurred in 1949 with the death of many crewmen. Peter has recently dived on the wreck, which lies at the bottom of the main channel into Port Kembla Harbour, and has filmed it . He has included aerial and other shots relevant to the story. KIAMA TOWN BAND
On March 27 a public meeting established a steering committee for organising a Kiama Band. Bill Leyshon assembled a display on the history of the Kiama Silver Band which attracted considerable interest at the meeting. This will now be set up in the Pilots Cottage Museum as a reminder what was achieved in the past and is relevant to today's hope of again having a band in the Municipality
Society meetings will be held at the Family History Centre, Railway Parade, Kiama and commence at 7:30 pm
